United Adoration is an Christian organization that works to revitalize the arts in churches in your neighborhood and around the world. We raise up leaders to worship God in the form of songwriting, visual arts, creative writing, dance & more.

I am the Visual Art Director for United Adoration, so I partner with churches to host Visual Art Events (such as workshops & retreats) as well as Multi-Disciplinary Art Retreats across America and around the world. We serve churches of all denominational backgrounds and adapt our leadership styles to best suit the host congregation.

What is a Visual Art Retreat?

The Purpose of a Creative Retreat

At United Adoration, we host 2 day Spiritual Art Retreats at a church. At these events, we facilitate a relaxing, encouraging and communal space where guests can connect to Jesus as they create. Guests have the opportunity to experience extended times for worship, creative coaching & processing with God. We lead retreats for a variety of art forms, such as Songwriting, Creative Writing, Visual Art & Dance.

At the two-day Visual Art Retreats, artists are given set-apart time and space to create artwork inspired by their connection with God. We spend Friday evening in prayer, worship & sketching what we will create for the weekend. Our Saturday is spent bringing the artwork to life. Guests are welcome to bring their own supplies, while we provide acrylic paints, brushes, canvases & basic drawing tools.

Throughout the weekend, I facilitate by mentoring each guest through the spiritual ideation & creation of their painting. These retreats serve as a wonderful space for spiritual clarity, reflection and fellowship.

Retreat Schedule

The Retreats tend to begin on a Friday around 6pm and conclude the following day, on Saturday around 5pm. We work with the host church to provide a Friday evening snack, Saturday breakfast & lunch.

These retreats are hosted at church buildings, so that the artists can feel connected with a local churches leadership and congregation as they are creating artwork with God.

Event guests stay overnight at their home or a hotel on Friday night and return to the church building for the second day of the retreat on Saturday.
